Our Story

Stephanie has spent years as an investigative journalist and documentarian with CBC, digging into issues like fast fashion, greenwashing, and what really happens to the things we throw away. Her work has always been about asking tough questions and finding better answers — especially when it comes to protecting people and the planet.

André comes from the world of film and television, where he worked as a production accountant on some of Canada’s biggest shows. He’s used to managing large budgets, keeping projects on track, and making sure big ideas can actually come to life. He’s also a dad and a lifelong tinkerer who’s passionate about designing safe, practical products that last.

Together, we wanted to take what we know — about truth, transparency, responsibility, and creativity — and build something new. We came up with a toy company that puts sustainability at the heart of play.

Canadians generate about half a millions tonnes of textile waste per year, which works out to about 12 kg or 26.4 lbs per person. And soft toys account for about one per cent of that waste categories.  While that may not sound like a lot, it results in roughly 5,000 tonnes of stuffed toys disposed of annually

That’s a lot of great memories tossed away. We believe there’s a better way. Through our rehabilitation and rescue process, we’re restoring stuffed animals that might otherwise be thrown out or left in storage because people don’t know what to do with them. Wegive them a second life, and aim to match them with someone who will love them all over again.

Our mission is simple:

• Save stuffed animals from landfills by repairing, cleaning, and rehoming them.
• Use sustainable practices to reduce waste and protect the planet for future generations.
• Sell toys that are safe, durable, and fun.
• Be open about the process.

We believe toys should spark joy, not waste. And we’re excited to share this journey with you.

Welcome to a better way to play.
